Job Description

We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join a growing organisation based in Manchester. The role is for a Skills Development Trainer within the finance sector specialising in pensions. The role will be to develop and deliver continually improved training to multiple funding streams to achieve outcomes for customers through the development of their knowledge, skills, behaviours & attitudes.

This is a home based role but will cover the UK on a national basis. The sessions will delivered virtually but as lockdown eases there will be some travel nationwide to deliver training face to face. There will be an expense package to cover this travel.

The hours are 37 per week predominantly in office hours however there might be some evening classes so some flexibility is required.
This is a permanent role at £31,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:


" Plan and design face to face and blended digital sequential curriculum to promote the attainment of retainable Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSB) making reasonable adjustments to meet the individual needs of learners across a wide variety of provisions.

" Participate in open evenings, taster days, effective IAG and employer engagement activities to achieve personal targets and replenish individual and departmental study programme, adult, SSW and apprenticeship caseloads as applicable.

" Account manage the client caseload to ensure we retain business, facilitate progression and secure new business.

" Mark/assess students` work, provide structured feedback and set and agree development objectives with all key stakeholders (learners, employers, parents etc) in line with company learning policies.

" Use accurate vocational and personal developmental starting points of learners to set meaningful and collaborative targets ensuring that all stakeholders have committed to the learner journey and support learner progress.

" Ensure that you regularly review learner progress and achievement with the engagement of key stakeholders (learner/employers/parents) and set meaningful and stretching learning targets and ensuring personal KPI`s are achieved.

" Accurately track progress of all learners and effectively risk band their timely progress and achievement.

" Ensure that learners additional needs are reviewed, and safeguarding concerns proactively managed in line with company policy.

" Motivating and inspiring.
" Excellent communication skills with effective coaching abilities.
" Up-to-date knowledge of the pension industry.
" Ability to create and conceptualise innovate and engaging learning materials.
" Can plan and organise workload effectively.


Requirements

" Pensions qualifications desirable not essential.
" At least 3 to 5 years working with or teaching Pensions/Finance.
" Experience of teaching and learning quality standards.
" At least 1-2 years within teaching, learning and assessments.
" TAQA/ Assessor qualifications (desirable).
