Our Technical client basd in Heywood, are looking for a Software, Design and Commissioning Engineer to join a friendly and down to earth small team.

Your responsibilities for this role will be designing, writing and commissioning SW. Customer breakdowns & Tech support and will be working worldwide,

Role
The role of a Software Engineer is as follows:
Projects
" Liaise with customers on project requirements
" Generate project specific documentation
" Attend project specific meetings
Software
" PLC programming (typical Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Siemens, Omron).
" SCADA programming, typical RSView32, WinCC, MX4, MAPS
" Human machine interface HMI programming.
" Setup and configure motion devices
" Organise and work alongside the electrical installation team on control projects
" Liaise with customers and provide telephone support
" Carry out commissioning testing and document correctly
" Assist with training BTS team
" Support software manager
" Attend training courses on new products and accreditations
" Work in the UK and overseas
Design
" Design hardwired electrical circuit drawings in AutoCAD Electrical
" Support the Design manager with drawing updates
" Compile parts lists and order materials

Person Spec- You will have experience in the use of Siemens/RA/Mitsubishi software development packages, vast years of experience in a similar environment with extensive machine commissioning experience, coming from the Food manufacturing industry. You will also have experience writing new software from concept phase

It is a requirement of the post that the post holder holds a current category `B` (car) full driving licence and a valid UK Passport and will travel on request to worldwide destinations.
