Job Description
Software Development Engineer
Cambridge
Brook Street is currently working on behalf of our Global IT Client to recruit a Program Manager. This is a contract role based in Cambridge for 6 months.
As a Brook Street contractor you will be entitled to 25 days holiday per annum, 8 days paid Bank Holidays pro rota, discounted gym membership, access to online learning and training.
Salary: Up to £58,890 plus 5% end of contract bonus per annum depending on skills and experience
Software Development Engineer Responsibilities:
Working with world-class researchers, engineers, and design experts
- Participating in, and contributing to, the generation of novel ideas and opportunities to showcase novel machine learning techniques in games
- Planning your delivery and ensure the team can efficiently leverage the results of your work
- Developing novel game scenarios and prototypes, bringing together creativity and a hands-on approach
- Working on cutting-edge research in artificial intelligence and machine learning in video games
Program Manager Requirements:
- Educated to BSc (required) or Masters (desired) level in Game Development, Software Engineering, or a related area, or proven comparable experience in industry
- Over 3 years of proven game development experience
- Experience of development in modern game engines (e.g. Unity, Unreal) is required. Experience across a range of game engines and development tools is ideal
- Hands-on knowledge of Python and either C/C++ or C# is required
- Knowledge of Java and game modding
- Familiarity with Azure services and/or other cloud platforms and technology
- Experience and or motivation to learn about in machine learning, including reinforcement learning, is a big plus (including understanding data requirements, experimentation at scale and methods of evaluation)
