Job Description

As a Specialist Case Manager for Sexual violence you will lead on developing, embedding and delivering a recovery focused and strengths-based approach for women with complex support needs primarily relating to sexual violence. This will involve ensuring that the service proactively works to support clients to manage risks and implement safely plans and improve financial, physical and emotional well being. You will also address additional support needs relating to mental health, substance use, offending behaviour and physical health.

The role includes a high level of client contact, and opportunities to work with external agencies such as Sexual Health Clinics, Sexual Assault Referral Centres and community based organisations. As a Specialist Case Manager for Sexual Violence, you will work closely with the Independent Sexual Violence Advisor and actively develop links and positive working relationships with agencies across the city.

You will support your team in ensuring service users are able to access relevant support from internal teams as well as a wide range of external agencies. You will have line management of Domestic Abuse key workers and will also support the Children's and Young Persons therapeutic workers, volunteers and placements within the service. As a Specialist Case manager you would be required to develop, lead and motivate the staff and teams in refuge.

You will manage refuge in line with policies and procedures and comply with housing legislation, Health and Safety procedures and requirements of funders. You will also need to ensure robust safeguarding measure are in place and implemented. You will encourage regular feedback from service users and implement changes accordingly where needed.

This is an opportunity for a proactive and motivated individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to deliver a high quality service for women and children. Experience of working in a refuge setting and an awareness of the welfare and benefits system would be preferable for this post.

You will need to evidence your previous experience and have a fully enhanced DBS

A qualification in Social Work, Leadership and Management or other Management certificate considered.

£22440 - £24500 depending upon experience
