Job Description

We are working with one of the leading care providers of mental health care who offer specialist mental health packages to young people aged 16-25 in residential care settings. The role is based in Warrington, Cheshire.

The young people that they work with often present with high levels of complexity and risk if they were living in less restrictive settings. Many of the young people that they work with move from inappropriate care settings and may have had numerous admissions/placement breakdowns.

You will be a Band 8a (Band 7 preceptorship to 8a considered dependent on experience) and will provide clinical psychological assessment/treatment to clients/young people with severe and enduring mental health disorders, which can include emotionally unstable personality disorder, complex trauma & eating disorders.

This in an autonomous post and your experience of working within this specialist field will enable our client to support, assess and treat clients across the full range of care settings - therefore your background and experience will need to include at least six months clinical experience of working with children/adolescent's mental health care

Essential Criteria

It's essential that you have Doctoral level training in clinical Psychology, including two or more distinct psychological therapies.

You must be currently registered with HCPC

Due to the specialist field, we really do need you to have at least 12 months post qualification experience or appropriate experience in training to join at preceptorship level

A full driving licence (UK) is required

Salary

£38,890 - £44,503 or £45,753 - £51,668 (Band 7 Preceptorship/8a Salary - Dependent on experience)

Full Time Hours (Flexible working arrangements would be considered)
