Brook Street Recruitment is currently working on behalf of our client in Ballyclare to recruit an experienced Spray Painter to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The successful candidate will ideally hold a recognised vehicle spray painting qualification and/or have a minimum of five years' experience in a similar role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out paintwork on accident damage and corrosion repairs
- New vehicle and component painting, as well as refurbishment work
- Stripping and rebuilding vehicles before and after painting, including removal and refitting of panels and parts
- Completing minor bodywork repairs, including smoothing dents and fitting bolt-on panels
- Preparing surfaces by removing old paint, sealant, and corrosion, and masking surrounding areas
- Priming, spray painting, colour matching, and tinting as required
- Sealing and rustproofing finished work
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Spray Painter (minimum 5 years preferred)
- Relevant qualification in vehicle spray painting (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Candidates from other spray painting industries will be considered; however, experience working on a wide range of commercial vehicles is highly desirable, including vans, trucks, buses/coaches, trailers, tankers, and other specialist heavy goods vehicles.
