Salary is £30,356 per annum which includes sleep ins.

A small independent Children Service are recruiting for a Level 3 Qualified Shift Leader / Senior Support Worker.

A close-knit service are looking for an experienced Shift Leader for a 4 bed residential home. You will be supporting vulnerable children (8 to 18 year old) who will have come from a background of trauma and experienced adverse childhood experiences.

As the Shift Leader you will be providing, and supporting the team to provide, a high standard of care, in a structure, stimulating, caring and safe environment which offers young people opportunities to be listened to and express their wishes, needs and feelings.

As the Shift Leader you will empower young people and teach them the necessary life skills, which will enable them to successfully move on to the next stage in their lives.

Main job duties:
- Help with the day to day running of the home
- Support clients with physical needs and activities
- Shift Planning and Leading alongside Manager
- Assisting with rotas and staff cover
- Compliance regulations
- Finance management
- Key working

Qualifying candidates:
- Must have knowledge of Ofsted requirements.

-ability to lead and motivate
-good ability to interpret and respond to a range of emotions and behaviours.
-shift lead experience
-level 3 in Children and Young People qualification
-opportunity to work towards level 5 Diploma in leadership and Management in Residential Childcare.
