Job Description

Leicestershire Police are recruiting for a Statement Taker to work on a serious investigation.

The position provides assistance to Investigators by liaising with victims of crime and other relevant parties to take detailed and accurate statements of crime.

Patience, understanding and empathy is essential to the post and it would suit someone who has previous experience in the forces and/or who has knowledge of criminal law and the justice system.

The ideal candidate will be computer literate and must be able to use Microsoft Word. Excellent communication skills are crucial to this role, and attention to detail is vital to ensure accurate statements are taken.

The successful candidate will be required to go through a police vetting process.
