Do you have a strong mathematical/statistical background and are interested in pursuing a career in insurance?

We are currently recruiting for a Statistical Underwriter on behalf of a reputable specialist insurance company near West Malling to build long lasting relationships with their clients and think out `of the box` to a provide a market-leading, tailored service.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing new business negotiations, account management, liaising with brokers and handling general underwriting queries. Furthermore, you will also use your statistical/mathematical skills to provide statistical underwriting, loss-ratio management and conducting claims audits.

Skill Requirements:

The successful candidate must have some understanding of insurance, have a logical mind to make sensible decisions supported with evidence, confidence in negotiations, able to work in a dynamical environment and drive change as well as strong statistical/research experience. A relevant degree (mathematical/statistical) is preferable. This position offers excellent learning and development opportunities.
