Our client, a well known self storage company, are looking to recruit a Store Manager within West Molesley Store.
What are we looking for; Someone with strong experience in retail management - a good all rounder with sales, admin and great customer service - but also a people person who is pro-active!
Training with be 6 weeks to 3 months depending on how fast you pick things up - but total support there
Working hours are 5 out of 7 days
YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN 30 MINS OF THE STORE
YOU WILL BE REPORTING TO: Area Manager
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Deputy Store Manager
Assistant Store Manager
YOUR IN HOUSE RELATIONSHIPS WILL BE WITH: Finance, Operations, Human Resources, Facilities, Store Support, Marketing, and other Stores
YOUR MAIN AIM WILL BE : To take a customer focused and commercial approach to the running of the store, with the aim of maximising turnover and profitability.
" Takes responsibility for organising the work of self and others, managing information and decision making and planning and prioritising to achieve business results.
" Ensures self and others maintain a positive approach utilising initiative and demonstrating commitment and flexibility to overcome challenge.
" Shares experience and ensures regular communication to develop the team to work as one, rewarding and recognising success.
" Ensures self and others maximise sales at every opportunity through promoting the products and services available, regularly communicating sales performance and introducing competitions and incentives.
" Ensures self and others consistently exceed customer expectations, reviewing and communicating all relevant feedback to improve standards of service within the store.
" Maintains an awareness of competitor activity and introduces and develops ideas to actively promote the store.
" Ensures that self and others maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the store, conducting regular maintenance checks and complying with company Health and Safety and Security procedures.
" Delivers accurate and consistent adherence to Company profit protection measures.
" Takes responsibility for the accurate completion of store administration, ensuring that weekly and monthly tasks are completed within deadlines and performance is reviewed against targets set.
" Provides guidance and support to others through regular reviews of performance and delegation of tasks to promote individual development.
" Manages the performance of others in accordance with Company Policy ensuring regular praise and encouragement to maximise the team potential.
" Continually reviews own performance and requests feedback, whilst seeking opportunities to take on new learning.
