Brook Street are recruiting on behalf of the Derbyshire police for a stores assistant to work in their HQ based in Ripley.

The role will be working under the central business support team and assist with the supply of uniform, protective equipment to all officers and staff whilst maintaining a goods inwards service for the Force Headquarters.

Other duties include;
" notifying customers of deliveries required for collection.
" Assist with handling and secure storage of goods.
" Inspecting incoming stock to ensure the orders are correct and raising any discrepancies with suppliers.
" Reconcile incoming goods received against despatch notes.
" Assist forecasting stock levels and placing orders with the external suppliers for uniform and equipment

We are looking for candidates that have an extensive experience in warehouse, goods inwards or a stores background. Candidates must also be physically fit and able to move heavy good throughout the day. Anyone with experience of dealing with customers/staff face to face will be favourable.

This role is an initial 6-month temporary contract but will likely extend due to the high workload forecasted for the rest of the year, working hours are 08.30-16.30 Monday to Friday.

The hourly rate of pay is 8.95.
