Government Legal Department- Supplier Relationship Manager

Long Term Temporary Assignment

Hours: Monday- Friday 37 hours per week (9am-5pm)

Salary: £10.82 rising to £13.87 per hour after 12 weeks

Location: Leeds City Centre currently working from home

About the department:

The GLD has a specialist Commercial Law Group of around 120 commercial law specialists. As the government seeks to reduce the levels of public spending, the work of its commercial lawyers has never been more important. Whether they are undertaking large-scale complex public procurement or day-to-day transactional commercial matters, it is essential that government departments obtain value from all their contracts. To enable them to do so, commercial lawyers in GLD provide legal advice on a wide range of matters, including public procurement law, contract law, intellectual property and state aid.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sending out Communications
• Booking travel, meetings etc
• Diary management
• Minute taking
• Managing the inboxes and taking appropriate actions
• Preparing Monthly and quarterly reports
• Answering queries from customer and suppliers

Skills required for the role:

• Strong IT skills- intermediate using Excel is essential
• Knowledge of Microsoft Packages e.g. Word, Teams, PowerPoint
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Previous PA experience is desirable
• Excellent organisation
• Good attention to detail
• ability to work flexibly
