Our client is looking for a Supply Chain Planner to join their growing business on the outskirts of York. This position will be office based and you must has access to your own car due to location.
Forecasting product demand.
Raising purchase orders on continuous stock lines.
Liaising with factories on a weekly basis to ensure orders are running on time and any issues that arise are dealt with in a timely manner.
Organising shipment of stock with freight forwarder to meet planned arrival times.
Planning deliveries of stock into the warehouses and working with warehouse managers to ensure any stock discrepancies are dealt with.
Working with members of the team to ensure product improvements are carried out by factories to the standard required before shipment.
Strong organisational and planning skills
Able to manage time, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
Excellent IT skills especially Excel
Superb attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to negotiate
Education, knowledge and experience:
Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent
Demand planning/purchasing qualifications and/or experience would be beneficial.
Knowledge and/or experience of retail demand planning and sales channels
