Job Description
The role of a Support Officer is to ensure the smooth running of sensitive legal enquiries, arranging travel and accommodation for victims to attend confidential evidence sessions.
This is a sensitive position that requires high levels of compassion, understanding and sensitivity towards the victims and survivors of criminal activity. There will be a high volume of telephone conversation with vulnerable members of the public and the Support Officer must be able to compassionately achieve their objectives of the call. Normally, this is to ensure that the victims and survivors attend sessions promptly and with the minimum of disruption to their lives.
The objective of this role is to book sessions and arrange travel & accommodation for those involved and answer queries as they arise.
To be considered for this role, the candidates must have the following skills
- Excellent Telephone Manner
- Strong organisational skills
- Understanding of confidentiality and discretion
This is a long-term, ongoing temporary role. As with all our roles, our temporary workers are able to apply for permanent & fixed-term roles within this and other UK Government departments.
