Brook Street Social Care are working alongside a residential support service, providing care, and promoting independence to its service users, aged 18 - 25, with a range of complex needs.


You will be working as a part of a team to provide personal care and support adults with physical and/or learning disabilities in a residential home environment. You will be required to administer medication to the service users, and ensure that there is a safe, caring, positive and stimulating home environment for residents using Intensive Interaction and Positive Behaviour Support Strategies. You will be responsible to ensure a high standard of care is provided in line with current regulations and Care Quality Commission standards. You will also be required to do sleep-ins at least once a week.

You will have had previous experience in the Health and Social Care sector, and ideally hold an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care. You will be provided with training specific to the service users needs, so you are aware of how to care for them individually. You will encourage the service users self-management, independent living, social interaction, communication, self-esteem and confidence. You will take part in taking the service users out into the community, engaging in the fun and joining in on their hobbies.
