Job: Support Worker
Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne
Salary: £18,201- £19,701 starting salary
Job Type: Permanent - 37 hours a week.

We are working with a national company and have an exciting opportunity available. This site is home to 7 young people (20-40s) physical disabilities, communication problems and some mild learning disabilities. The facility is equipped with up to the minute technology to enable independence and choice for residents.

You will be working as a part of a team to provide personal care and support adults with physical and/or learning disabilities in a residential home environment. You will be required to administer medication to the service users, and ensure that there is a safe, caring, positive and stimulating home environment for residents using Intensive Interaction and Positive Behaviour Support Strategies. You will be responsible to ensure a high standard of care is provided in line with current regulations and Care Quality Commission standards. You will also be required to do sleep-ins at least once a week.

You will have had previous experience in the Health and Social Care sector. You will be supporting service users, encouraging them to attend social activities, support with tutoring and helping the service users with following their passions and hobbies.
