Support Worker - Adult Residential - Learning Disability and Challenging Behaviour.

Incredible opportunity to work as a Support Worker for a large Care Provider that provides services for Adults with Learning Disabilities and Challenging Behaviours. Our clients are looking for enthusiastic and passionate Support Worker to join their team.

You will be working with people to help them develop their independence and will need to combine your professional experience and skills to work with adults on a day to day basis to promote their independence and ensure that they have fun while staying safe.

You must be an eager support worker who can provide self-assurance to young people to live an independent life where they can manage their own lives. They work in the heart of the community and their main focus is to help each person to live a full and equal life. As well as one to one support they offer a range of helpful projects within the service to support each individual.

Your role will be to provide care and support young people with their daily needs and emotional behavioural difficulties in their everyday lives. Ensuring to encourage each individual to connect with the community and feel safe. You will be required to provide and show emotional support and care to their highest standard. You must ensure safeguarding, respect and confidentiality is maintained at all times.

In order to register with us, you must meet our minimum criteria which is a minimum of recent 12 months social care experience OR recent 6 months social care experience combined with a social care qualification such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or similar.

Our pay rates vary depending on experience and depending on which clients you work with but generally start at circa £9 and go up to circa £10 per hour. Benefits include holiday accrual based on your hours worked amongst others.
