Job Description

Social Housing Younger Person's Support Worker, £9-£11 per hour.

As BS Social care we are working with an excellent provider of one to one outreach and support work that deals with accommodation and supporting young people .

You will work one to one with young adults who are building life skills and working towards independent living. These people will come from various different backgrounds.

You will need to have experience supported Housing or similar, working with the 16- 25 age group. You must be confident to work one to one or in a team and have a good understanding of safeguarding young adults.

Ideally you will have a current enhanced children and adults DBS on the update service. In order to register with us, you must meet our minimum criteria which is a minimum of recent 12 months social care experience OR recent 6 months social care experience combined with a social care qualification such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Child/adult care.

You must also be willing to go through our recruitment process which starts with an in-branch registration during which time we do a medical checklist, full employment history, sending references and getting you put onto our online training programme. Once all of the paperwork is back (references and training), then we can put you out to work immediately!

This is an excellent opportunity to increase your knowledge and skills working in a challenging environment and opening the door to future work in this area at different levels.

Our pay rates vary depending on experience and depending on which clients you work with but generally start at circa £9 and go up to circa £11 per hour. Benefits include holiday accrual based on your hours worked amongst others.
