Job Description

Support workers required for a day centre with adult learning disability service users. There are 60 service users at this day centre and they have a variety of activities they have- such as swimming, bowling, art courses, college courses, Zumba group and music classes. Personal Care is involved such as a physio group. This service has a standard shift pattern Monday to Friday 10:00 to 15:30. The agency staff come in to support the group to be independent as much as possible. It will include some physical activity such as pushing wheelchair.

Location: West London
Hours: Full & part-time available, 20 to 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Competitive


You must have;

o Good communication both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate effectively with people with learning disabilities using a variety of methods to meet the needs of the individual.
o The ability to work individually or as part of a team.
o To understand and adhere to safeguarding principles.
o To be honest, reliable, punctual, flexible and able to work shifts that includes weekends and public holidays
o To participate in staff meetings, training and other learning development opportunities
