Support Worker

St Clears, Carmarthen

Up to £9 per hour + holiday pay + pension contributions

Support workers are required for ongoing/temporary jobs providing support and care to a variety of vulnerable adults.

We are looking for experienced care assistants who are looking for an exciting opportunity in Carmarthen area. We have an on-going agreement with leading care providers in South Wales who is looking for enthusiastic individuals to help them where possible.

Your role will be to help care and support for vulnerable adults in in a supported living or residential setting. You will encourage them to live as independently as possible, helping them to cook, clean, go shopping and to appointments and helping them into the community. Your role is put a smile on their face. Due to the needs of the service users we are looking for individuals that would be willing to conduct personal care and the possibility of challenging behaviour PBM or another form of restraint is necessary.

Shifts are available Monday to Sunday and can be a mixture of days/nights/weekends. You have the added benefit of being in control of your own rota as shifts are flexible and can fit round any other commitments you may have.

Successful candidates will have a minimum of one year's practical experience within the care sector.

Being a driver with access to your own vehicle is desirable but not essential. They will also have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. Due to the needs of the service users previous experience in this area is essential and manual handling/hoist training is essential.
