Our client is looking for support workers with experience working with mental health, EBD, have a housing background and experience with children in a residential setting. This is an exciting opportunity in Cheltenham as this is an on-going agreement with a leading care provider who is looking for enthusiastic individuals to help them where possible. Some of the service users will arrive daily, whilst others reside at the service.
Your role will be to help care and support individuals between the ages of 10-18 year olds who may have physical or learning disabilities. You will encourage them to live as independently as possible, helping them to cook, clean, go shopping and to appointments and helping them into the community. Your role is to have a nurturing nature and put a smile on their face and most importantly, to provide the best care possible.
You have the added benefit of being in control of your own rota as shifts are flexible and can fit around any other commitments you may have. Shifts vary - from term time only, days, nights, weekends. You will be in control of what shifts you want!
What is needed?
Successful candidates will have a minimum of one year`s practical experience within the care sector.
Being a driver with access to your own vehicle is desirable but not essential.
