Job Description
We are supporting an expanding organisation who are looking for Support Workers on a temporary basis. You'll be working in their 3 bedded Supported Living Bungalow and a lady in the community in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. You will be working with Adults who have learning disabilities, epilepsy, dementia, ABI, anxiety, deaf and ASD
Main Job Role:
- Offer therapeutic / emotional support
- Work together in a team to help them with morning and night routines
- Support clients with everyday duties i.e. cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping etc
- Manage them through their Support Plans (maintain good health and diet)
- Accompany them out & about in the community i.e bank appointments, health visits etc
- Encourage them with future goals they would like to achieve
- Assist them with any activities or day centres they attend to and the Lady goes swimming twice a week
- Some aspects or full personal care required which includes manual handling / hoisting
Qualifying candidates:
- Paid experience in care (any setting / sector)
- Drivers are essential for Lady in the community but 3 bed Supported Living Bungalow require people only with a driving licence as you will need to drive the service user`s car so don`t need to have your own car
Contract / Terms:
- You'll be paid £10.00 per hour
- We are looking for either full or part time temps
- Flexible shift patterns but try follow a rota of 7:30am - 3:30pm, 1:30pm - 9:30pm & 10:30pm - 7:30am
