Job Description

I have a fantastic Support Worker opportunity available. You will be working in a Residential Education provision in Blandford Forum for students aged 7-19 years with autistic spectrum disorders, severe learning difficulties and associated challenging behaviours.

Duties and responsibilities of this role will include;
-Building professional relationships with the young people and other staff members
-Do everything to maintain a safe, clean and enjoyable environment to live and work in
-Learn about the individuals specific needs
-Assist the individuals with their medical and welfare needs
-Support young people towards managing their own behaviour
-To keep written records and keep reports
-Take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and of others


For this role you do not need to have any experience or qualifications, however, it is down to the type of person that you are, If you are a caring, genuine, honest and hardworking person then this is the role for you, and I would encourage you to apply.
The role will require you to be a car driver because at times you will need to drive a company vehicle in order to transport young people.

Salary : £18564 or, £8.50 p/h BUT...

After the 6 month probation period there will be a potential pay rise to £8.73 p/h AND...

You will be given the opportunity to complete a QCF Children & Young People qualification, and upon completion there will be a potential pay rise to £9.23 p/h

Hours/Shifts;

This is a full time position of 42 hours a week.

The shifts are given on a 2 week rolling rota, where, during the 14 days (2 weeks) you will work 7 of these days.
The shifts will be 8AM-8PM, however there is the possibility of you working evening shifts of 4PM-10PM or 4PM-8PM

Also, there will be overtime opportunities that are paid at 1 and a half times the hourly rate.
