Job Description

IMMEDIATE STARTS

Various shifts available Days, Nights, Evenings & Weekends

Are you looking for temporary ongoing work? We are looking to recruit Support Workers for our clients based within the South Yorkshire Region including Barnsley & Sheffield.

Our client is a National Provider of support for people with complex & challenging behaviours associated with autism, learning disabilities, mental health & neurological conditions. They support people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and also residential care.

You will be supporting individuals with physical & learning disabilities. Providing individuals with practical & emotional care, enable them to have fulfilled lives and gain further independence.

You will have experience of working in a similar environment supporting adults & have flexible availability as you will be required to work shifts including bank holidays, weekends & sleep ins.

Your main duties & responsibilities will include the below:

  • Participation in the day-to-day implementation of individual support and activity plans within a challenging environment
  • Maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families and others whilst respecting confidentiality
  • Support service users with the preparation of meals, laundry duties, cleaning and social events
  • Maintain accurate notes and records
  • Work as part of a team in providing a high level of care

The successful candidate will have experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities and or mental health:

  • Ability to keep calm under pressure
  • Experienced in supporting vulnerable adults
  • Confidence to work alone and as part of a team
  • Passion and commitment to achieve high standards of care & safeguarding

Requirements
