Job Description

BS Social Care are currently recruiting for Support Worker for a high needs supported living service in St Albans.

About the role; you will be working with adults who have moderate to severe Learning Difficulties, Epilepsy and challenging behaviour. Your typical day would include; supporting the service users get up washed, dressed and get ready for day centre, shopping or activities. You will complete paper work and keep care plans up to date. You will be responsible for a particular service user including arranging their activities/medication and have everything then need to receive the best possible care. You will assist in picking them up from the day centre and providing personal and helping with dinner, then get ready for the evening. This role is very hands on due to the service users needing physical support with personal care and meals to ensure they have the best quality of life possible.

We are looking for candidates who have at least 6 months experience working in a care/support setting. You will be empathetic and compassionate towards the residents of the home and be interested in the role for the right reasons. We need candidates that have the right values and understanding of the needs of the service users you`re working with by building a professional relationship.

Shift patterns for this role 0700-1500, 1400-2130 and sleep in shifts
