Support Worker In the community (Outreach)

Job Description

We a looking for a support worker who has had previous experience of assisting service users, carers & the public within the community.

Our clients are an independent, user lead origination with years of experience in connecting vulnerable adults within the community. Working alongside local government & the NHS to improve the quality of service & help those groups to obtain better lives within the Leeds area.

You will be able do draw upon your previous experience of supporting vulnerable adults to access the community by attending meetings & events. Overnight stays may be required dependant on the location of the venue (Cost to be met by the employer)

You will work alongside other staff members to help achieve independence for those who struggle to access the community, promote their independence & help give them a voice at public events. The groups consist of assisting those with Mental Health, Learning Disabilities & Physical needs

Previous experience supporting service users within the community
Experience of using hoists
Providing companionship
Helping with meals

You must have a minimum of 12 months paid experience or 6 months experience with relevant qualification.

Hourly rate ranges between £8-£9.50 per hour
Holiday pay accrued
Travel expenses paid
