Job Description

This will be working in a lovely farm setting with a 12 year old with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour

The service is a care home for children with autism spectrum disorder in durham. It is a carefully chosen detached house within a small village 4 miles from durham city, It has good travel links into durham with a 10 minute drive and easy access to the A1

You will be supporting the service user with day to day tasks, going out on drives with him around the country side. He is 2-1 so you will have support.
The shifts are 6am-6pm days 6pm-6am nights or 8am-8pm days and 8pm-8am nights.

The ideal Candidate will need to have experience with challenging behaviour, be patient, approachable and friendly with a good attitude towards your work.
You will need to beable to work alone and apart of a team.

Mapa trained is desirable.
NVQ Level 3
Driving is preferred
1 years experience working with children and young people.
DBS registered on the update service would be a great advantage.

The salary will vary from £10.50-£14 per hour
Choice of day shift or waking night shifts
