Are you an experienced support worker looking for a new and exciting challenge? Do you live in Wakefield or the surrounding areas? If so please read on....

You will be working within a 6 bedded service for adults with Learning Disabilities. You will be responsible for providing support to the service users, at times 1:1 support may be required as well as physical intervention training.

Your duties will include emotional and physical support, assisting with household tasks, taking the service users out in to the community and taking part in general activities.

To apply for the position you will need at least 6 months recent experience dealing with adults with Learning Difficulties/Autism and a qualification such as an NVQ, or a minimum of 2 years relevant experience without a qualification. Training in administrating medication and epilepsy is desired but not essential.

You will also be DBS checked and able to provide references for the last 2 years and can provide evidence for any gaps in employment.

The pay rate is a generous £8.25 to £8.50, with holiday pay to accrue.
