Job Description

A well established large organizations are recruiting for Support Workers for their 5 bed Residential Care Home in Swindon, Wiltshire. You will be supporting Adults who have mental health, schizophrenia who may display verbal challenging behaviour but at times may have outbursts.

Main Job Role:
- Support them with everyday duties i.e. preparing meals, cleaning, laundry, shopping etc
- Active service users who like to get out and about. They go on day trips, shopping trips, visiting families etc
- Support them out in the community and on health appointments / visits
- There will be lone working but you will work together in a team to share domestic duties
- When service users are unwell, you may need to help them with personal care

Qualifying candidates:
- Have life, paid, personal or voluntary experience in care (any setting / sector)
- Must be medication trained with experience administrating it (update on medication training will be provided if expired)

Contract / Terms:
- Salary with sleepins is £19,613 - £21,659 per annum = £8.54 - £9.61 an hour (£16,701 - £18,747)
- You will do 2 sleepins per week at £28 per sleep = £2,912 a year (already included in the salary)
- Shift patterns are: 8am - 4pm and 2pm - 10pm. Sleeps are 24 hour shifts from 1pm - 11pm (sleep) 7am - 1pm
- Full time role at 37.5 hours a week
- Working days are Mondays to Friday and you will work 1 in 3 weekends
- 5 week rolling rota
