Job Description

A well-established Education and Residential Service is now recruiting for Support Workers for their residential care homes (upto 12 bed) in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. You will be supporting 16 - 25 year olds who have learning disabilities, Autism, Aspergers, profound multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), physical disabilities and some will be physical challenging.

Main Job Role:
- Acting as a professional parent and role model
- Supporting children through their morning, mealtime and evening routines
- Domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry, shopping and collecting medication
- Help them get to their classes and support them with Education
- Key working & supporting them with activities
- Full & prompting personal care will be required

Qualifying candidates:
- Have life, paid, personal or voluntary experience in care (any setting / sector)
- Must have your own transport due to location

Contract / Terms:
- Salary is £5,466 - £16,854 per annum = £8.76 an hour
- Full / part time contracts available (16 - 44 hours a week)
- Term time ONLY candidate (39 weeks a year) will work 16 - 44 hours a week
- All year round candidate (52 weeks a year) will work 16 - 37 hours a week
- Working days will be Mondays to Fridays with alternative weekends
- Shifts will vary and morning shifts can start from 7am and latest finish time will be 11pm (no nights)
