We are looking for experienced Support Workers who have a background in supporting adults who are homeless or about to be homeless and we want to hear from you today!

Salary and benefits
For your hard work and commitment, you will be paid a salary of £20,530, and a very desirable employee package.

Location and hours
37.5 hours, covering a varied shift pattern - Monday to Sunday - Full-time. Nuneaton office and out in the community completing outreach work.

The company and the service
We are in partnership and collaborating with a fantastic client who are a registered care and support charity, who specialise in delivering homes, services, and innovation for the most disadvantaged communities in the Midlands and providing support to vulnerable adults. They provide the very best service, and they would love your help to continue that process.

This service is for individuals 16-24 years old who find themselves living in precarious housing or at risk of eviction but not statutorily homeless as defined by the Homeless Reduction Act. This service offers an excellent person-centred service which enables vulnerable adults to live independently in the community. If you are living at home with family and have had a family relationship breakdown, we can offer mediation with yourself and your family with the aim of you being able to stay at the family home.

Overview of the role
The client is looking for a full-time Support Worker and Outreach Worker to provide person centred support to customers, reporting any safeguarding concerns in line with policy and procedure. To support customers with life skills and empower them to make a positive contribution to society and become self-sufficient; this includes recording case studies that reflect achievements of outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
" Providing a flexible, responsive service which operates in a timely and person-centred manner
" Signposting customers to relevant sources of information, support, guidance, and advice
" Effectively working in partnership with external agencies for the benefit of customers
" Completing and following clear risk assessments, and adhering to the organisations Health and Safety Policy
" Completing and maintaining accurate records in line with the requirements (including detailed support plans, risk assessments and regular checks).

Required Skills, Experience, & Knowledge
" Passion and desire to help people who are struggling with their tenancy and are at risk of homelessness
" A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle - ESSENTIAL
" A DBS on the update service
" Professional or personal experience working with young people or adults with learning disabilities or mental health
" Transferable skills which could enable you to support vulnerable adults who are at risk of homelessness
