📍 Location: Sheffield | 💷 Salary: £12.60
🕒 Full-time | Shift work including evenings, weekends & sleep-ins

We're looking for compassionate, resilient, and dedicated individuals to join our team as Children's Residential Support Workers in Sheffield.


👧🧒 About the Role

As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in the lives of young people aged 8-18 living in a residential care setting. Many of these children have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect - they need your stability, patience, and care.


🔑 Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day emotional and practical support to children and young people

  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and homely environment

  • Support educational, social, and personal development

  • Manage challenging behaviours with empathy and professionalism

  • Work closely with colleagues, social workers, and other professionals

  • Keep accurate records and contribute to care planning


What You'll Need

  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people

  • Ability to build trusting relationships and stay calm under pressure

  • Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins

  • Ideally hold or be willing to work towards a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare

  • Experience in a care setting is desirable, but not essential - we provide full training
