Job Description

A new opportunity has arisen supporting a Mother and Baby Unit in Preston.

The role of a support worker is supporting Young Parents / Adults. Cover for MAT leave for 6 months but could be 12 months. Ideally have Child care lever 3 qualification or have experience in a family residential background, ideally have experience in mother and baby units, providing support to families and young children, days and nights 7 day rota, could be 1 week days and 2nd nights, looking for someone who is calm, empathetic, patient, kind, knows how to deal with challenges, observation skills, security checks and cctv and learning how to use the cctv on a tablet, filling out paper work and record writing, making sure a handover is completed at midnight and a hand over before left in the morning at 8am, knowledge of mental health, domestic abuse, personality disorders, new babies, good social care skills.

The ideal candidate will be robust and cheerful and can maintain them professional boundaries. Ideally you will have experience working with individuals with personality disorder and has experience working. You need to be flexible to work on a rota basis as this position offers block bookings as well as ad-hoc shifts.

We are looking for individuals who have a Level 3 in Childcare or experience within the social care sector. If you have a DBS on the update service that would be ideal!
