Full time 37.5 hours a week

Are you a support worker with experience in working with adults with learning disabilities? Do you have a minimum of a level 2 in health and social care? Do you want to work for one the leading care providers in Manchester? If so we want to hear from you!

We are currently recruiting for support workers to support adults with learning disabilities in a residential setting. This is an exciting role where all support workers will be trained to senior level so that everyone has the same understanding and the level of care is the highest it can possibly be. Due to the nature of this role we are looking for someone that has a minimum qualification level 2 in health and social care, preferably a level 3! We are looking for an individual who has care experience this could be in the form of caring for a loved one at home, or caring in residential homes or in the community. Ideally you will have experience in working with Learning disabilities but if you have worked in mental health, physical disabilities or elderly care and feel you can transfer your skills feel free to apply!

This is based in a residential home in the Sale area so being able to get to Sale is essential. There will be occasional night shifts but these are very rare. There will be shift work on a rota basis so weekend working will be expected. We are looking for positive individuals who always put the service user first.

Your days will be varied and exciting, you will be promoting independence where possible and going on trips out such as ice-skating, cinema trips and sporting activities to support the well-being of the service user! We are looking for active individuals who are always positive and respect the service users and the service and provide the highest quality care.

You will be administering medication, so having medication training is a real advantage and ideally you will be epilepsy trained and willing to upskill yourself in key areas. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Microsoft and basic IT systems to compile reports. You will have a good level of English and Maths and be a good communicator. Having a driving license would be advantage but is not essential.

Above all else we are looking for a caring and compassionate individual who looks to provide a safe and fun place for the service users to stay and to top it off you will be working a stunning home and with the best team!

In return you will be rewarded with a generous salary with sleeps paid separately, excellent progression throughout the company, pension scheme, cycle to work, free- parking and second to none training packages! If you are hungry to learn this is most certainly the role for you!
