Job Description

Are you an experienced manager committed to uphold the human dignity of everyone?

Do you like to make positive change in care leavers life?

Then this role is for you!

You will be responsible to undertake the Team Manager role, working with local support service and staff. It's your job to make sure that the services run safely, smoothly, and effectively and that client work is underpinned by safeguarding and the promotion of their welfare.

You will lead, manage and develop staff, providing the right mix of support, supervision, appraisal and training to get the best for and from each person. You and your team will be supporting young adults between 16 - 25 years of age in accordance with their care plan, to foster their wellbeing and development and fulfil their potential for independence, choice, inclusion, and control.

YOUR SKILLS
You know the area well and you are a have your own car.
Previous management experience within a Care Leavers Setting.
Good standard of education (evidence of numeracy and literacy), Level 5 in health and social care or leadership and management is desirable. You can also gain it after passing the 3-month probation period.
Excellent working knowledge of all aspects of supporting young adults both practically and administratively. Excellent working knowledge of health and safety, risk assessment, safeguarding, person centred support and care planning, staff management.
Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
Enhanced DBS disclosure

Passionate for your work. A sincere interest in the wellbeing of clients. A desire to promote and support clients' independence, choice, control and inclusion. Able to be sensitive, yet objective, about the needs of adults with learning difficulties. Able to recognise relevant information in verbal and non-verbal communication. Confidentiality and the ability to manage appropriate boundaries.
