You will be working for an organisation that pride themselves in providing a range of social housing ,sports,health and well being ,children`s services and youth community activities within the county.

As a supported Housing Officer you will essentially be supporting homeless individuals over a period of 18 months + to move into safe accommodation and a stable lifestyle. The job is part of a team providing support and enablement to people with a variety of support needs ,including mental health issues ,offenders ,family breakdown and alcohol/drug issues.

The role needs you to be au fait with support plans ,risk assessments and rent charges.You will be expected to empower residents to move from dependence to independence. Develop a respect for the people as individuals. Develop a positive image for their presence and participation in the community. Develop opportunities to enhance their skills appropriate to their lifestyle. Offer choices that are appropriate to their needs and have due regard for their safety. Ideally you will be local to Welwyn garden City and be a car driver.

The role requires you to take an enhanced DBS check.

The salary is £21879 with an annual pay review.The hours of work are on a rotating shift pattern of 8am-4pm ans 2pm-10pm.Every 4 weeks you will be asked to work a weekend shift of 8am-10pm.There is free on site car parking and gym membership. with staff discounts.20 days holiday plus bank hols. Extra day for each years service up to 25 days.
