Job Description

I am currently working with a leading provider of learning disabilities. They provide vital support and independence to adults over the age of 18 in their own home, out in community, supported living sites and residential sites.


They are seeking a SUPPORTED LIVING MANAGER - Community (PART TIME UP TO 25 HOURS) To supporting people with learning disabilities, to manage a small cluster of services in Shrewsbury and also lead with the development of activity opportunities across Shropshire. You will provide high quality support to your team ensuring that staff have the necessary skills and resources to provide person centred support, enabling people to live in their own home, develop independence and decision making, and actively participate in their community.

Your job role and responsibilities will consist of;


o To provide leadership and direction to the teams and have oversight of the day-to-day management of the five services.
o To be committed to delivering person-centred outcomes for the people we support, ensuring that people are at the centre of their support and enabling them to develop independent living skills and have a good quality of life.
o To lead and develop the teams working towards strategic aims in line with organisational objectives.
o To ensure that we meet our regulatory standards set by commissioners and inspectors, and that these are of excellent quality.
o To participate in the on-call rota and respond appropriately as and when required.
o To ensure that rotas are completed three weeks in advance, in line with specific requirements including staff attending training, annual leave, and supervision.
o To manage and monitor effective staffing levels, and to ensure contractual service level agreements are met and work within agreed budgets

To be successful within this role you must have senior or team leading experience, you must have an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care and to be willing to work towards your NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management. You must also be proactive, organised and have strong communication skills. You must also have a UK driving license.

For your hard work and commitment, you will be paid a salary up to £28,919, 26 days annual leave, all your training and qualifications will be paid for, fantastic benefits package that covers your pension and you also get £250 welcome bonus and another £250 on completion of probation.
