Sustainable Procurement Auditor

Job Description

Our client based in Newport has an opportunity for a permanent Sustainable Procurement Auditor. The role is a hybrid and office working position. The starting salary is £41,343 rising to £47,254

You will need to have good background in procurement and Utilities or Supply Chain Experience, Desirable if you are a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply along with experience within an Audit role.

Duties include the following

.Create and deliver an Audit Programme that assesses a wide
range of criteria including:
* Carbon Reporting
* Waste Management
* Modern Slavery
* Living Wage
* Cyber Security in the Supply Chain
* Desktop assessment of suppliers, including data
collection for monitoring and reporting purposes.
* Support in scope suppliers report their carbon use, recommend
areas to improve (reduce) carbon use.
* Support assessment and evaluation of Environmental, Waste
and Social measures in run tenders.
* Focus on removal of single use plastics in the supply chain.`
* Deliver Procurement initiatives to implement circular economy
principles within the Supply Chain.

The successful candidate must have

* Procurement and/or Commercial experience in a regulatory
* Utilities and/or Supply Chain experience.
* Good awareness of HSE issues in a Utilities environment.
* Confident communicator prepared to raise issues.
* Excellent data management and interpretation skills.
* Proven report writing skills.
* Good working knowledge of CSR and environmental issues.
* Attention to detail.
* Excellent MS Office skills.
* Self-reliant ability to work unsupervised and deliver to

The following are desirable in the successful candidate;
* Member of / experience of Chartered Institute of Purchasing
and Supply (CIPS)
* Experience within an audit role.
