Job Description

Tax Advisory Manager


The company we are partnering with is an award winning business advisory firm; their main focus is allowing entrepreneurs to be successful. You will be joining a firm of talented Advisors and Directors who are passionate and committed to supporting their clients. A unique and energetic firm based in Dorset, with clients across the South Coast.


Your role will be to manage the tax advisory team - Two Advisors and One Junior, you will be the bridge between the board and the Tax Team, working with the Director to ensure the team runs smoothly and efficiently. You will ensure assignments are completed in line with the level of support in which clients have engaged us and are completed on time, on budget and to a high standard.

You will provide tax and business advice to our clients, you will review reports on tax advisory assignments to include company reorganisations, incorporations, liquidations, share restructures, residence and overseas tax implications and employee share schemes. Reviewing HMRC letters and providing VAT advice will be an integral part of your month, you will be bought in to carry out tax research and provide a summary of relevant points to directors/clients.
You will be responsible to meet your annual chargeability target. Be the Relationship Coordinator for a portfolio of clients.


You will be the key contact between the client and more senior members of the team, ensuring great relationships are built in line with the company`s belief.
Regularly liaise with clients, you will be seeking to build and maintain proactive and supportive professional relationships.
Meeting with your new clients to ensure our on boarding process is followed, liaising with the support team to create engagement letters. You will be commercially focused and aware of the scope of the work allocated.
You will be responsible for budgets and billing for clients, highlighting to more senior members of the team any billing considerations, e.g. work carried out over and above the fee/ monthly retainer, any WIP potentially to be written off bills.
Keep directors informed of progress and escalate in a timely manner all potential problems - also ensuring other team members are also doing this.
Liaise with others within the the business to ensure seamless relationships with clients. Have a desire to coach and mentor your colleagues.
You will lead, manage and motivate all individuals within your team.
Contribute to the smooth running of the wider Client Services team.
Coach and encourage all team members to ensure they are reaching their potential.
Undertake regular 1:1`s with team members to discuss their progress on jobs/assignments and ongoing development.
Liaise closely with HR to ensure consistent policies are followed for all employees.
You will organise internal and external training for your team.
You will be a vital part of the company`s management team, participating fully in any management meetings and suggesting ways to improve processes.


Qualifications:
CTA qualified - Essential
ACA/ACCA - Desirable

Salary:
£70,000 - £110,000
