Job Description

Working for a Metal and Ore Traders this is a 12 month FTC (starting in Jan or Feb 2022) to cover Maternity supporting a team of 5 (1 trader, 2 managers and 2 Business Assistants) in their City of London corporate head office.

We are looking for a Business Assistant/Team Administrator who HAS EXPERIENCE OF WORKING WITH INFORMATION FROM THE LONDON METAL EXCHANGE and who can provide the team with admin and clerical support as well as communicating with clients on a regular basis. Working with INTERNATIONAL clients is a pre requisite for this role and should be demonstrated on your CV.

Your clerical duties will include:
Dealing with payments
Processing expense claims
Arranging meetings and making dinner reservations
Checking Accounting Ledgers
General admin support

On the client side you will be:
Liaising with clients to chase and confirm information
Following up on extra information required by the traders

As well as this you will help with the documentation for the delivery of products

This will include:
Perform safe delivery & documentation for export and import under the regulations and the rules.
Communicate with clients and suppliers to ensure contractual commitments fulfilled. Coordinate with logistics companies to have timely deliveries to meet customers` needs.
Check and create proper documents: shipping documents (invoice, bill of lading, air waybill, insurance certificate, inspection certificate, etc.), contracts, and other documents as appropriate, fully utilising SAP system and business support services.


We are looking for candidates who have worked with the LME in a similar Team Administration role where you have supported a team of ideally Japanese and British nationals, or mix of nationalities. You will definitely need to have experience of liaising internationally too.

You could have worked within an International Shipping Company or International Freight Forwarding company or something similar - however having team admin skills is key

Please note that this is friendly hard working busy team and they need someone who can fit in with their commitment but this is NOT an opportunity to work as a dealer or trader
