Our client is a manufacturing company based in Newport, with a successful team specialising in production. They boast excellent feedback from their landlords and tenants and have an excellent reputation.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

" Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained within the production line and areas of responsibility
" Must ensure that all operators are adhering to the correct H&S standards, wearing the correct PPE
" Will take an active part in carrying out Risk Assessments and ensuring that all operators adhere to correct working practices
" You will carry out back to work interviews and issue 1st stage verbal warnings
" Monitor the performance of the team and individuals and develop the skills of the team with development plans and skills matrix
" Apply general FIFO principles for all WIP and materials
The working pattern is only weekends (Saturday and Sunday 12 hour shifts ) - 06.00 - 18.00
Skills Required
" Fork lift truck qualification is desirable
" Previous IT systems knowledge of production systems and basic Microsoft excel skills would be a benefit
" Professional attitude towards work, maintaining a professional approach to all customers
"
Minimum Expectations
" Previous Team Leader or Supervisory experience
" Numerate and literate with minimum of GCSE passes in Mathematics and English Language or the equivalent
