Residential Children's Support Worker- Team Leader

42 Hours a week

19,656- 20,529 plus sleep ins paid separately!

Working for a prominent North-West Provider of Children's Residential Care you will be based at their immensely beautiful Oldham Service. Based high in the hills with a view that will take your breath away daily you will be supporting up to 5 young people in your role with EBD.

This is a rewarding role where you will build strong bonds with both your team and the young people you are supporting. Taking part in activities such as pool, ping-pong or just exploring the beautiful local surroundings, no two days will be alike and you will be spending your shifts in a luxurious and traditional farmhouse fully equipped with real log fires and characteristic charm.

As a team leader you will be at the very heart of something amazing! You will be assisting the deputy and manager in the safe, secure and effective running of the home. You will be responsible for leading shifts and ensuring staff are fully aware and equipped for the day ahead and programmes are running effectively. You will also be expected to train new staff on current procedures and the home ethos- this will be no trouble for you as the ideal candidate will be a great model to staff and young people alike! Being the amazing role model you are you will also deliver key worker sessions and sit in on multi-disciplinary meetings for the children.

You will be child-focused, caring and very organised and able to use basic IT packages.

It is essential that you drive for this role and have access to your own vehicle as there is an expectation to be on call for the home one night a week. Experience as a residential care worker or care team leading is essential. It would be beneficial for you to have a level 3 in health and social care- children's and young people. But don't worry if you don't have this the company will pay for you to do it if you have the right experience!
