My client is looking for an individual with a background in community and prison service, working with local prison/s to ensure an effective pathway for residents on release from prison into community services which includes a smooth transition into the Brighton and Hove Recovery Service.
About the role:

The candidate will work as part of the service, developing pathways between Criminal Justice Agencies, both in the community and within the prison service in order to support seamless continuity of care.

As the team leader you will be expected to work with their team to support a service users subject to DRR, ATRs and prescribed clients released from custody. They will also offer support to other recovery coordinators who may have service users on their caseloads that are linked in with criminal justice system.
The team leader will also line manage a number of recovery coordinators who are within the opiate cohort and will link in with the opiate team leader to ensure that all staff work collaboratively within the two teams.

Typical duties will consist of:

" To work in partnership with all Criminal Justice Agencies within the area and develop pathways and mutual ways of working to gain the best outcomes for the service users
" To provide support towards others in the local service by giving advice in relation to criminal justice issues.
" Excellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within criminal justice or related field.
" Knowledge of the criminal justice system within the local area
" Knowledge of effective interventions that lead to reduction in drug related crime.

Salary: £29,909 to £31,695 dependent on experience
Locations: Romford -Essex
Hours: 37.5hrs per week
