Team Leader - Reading
Autism and Learning Disabilities
10.74 per hour + £1 weekend enhancement rate
37.5 Hours

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about quality and delivering the best possible services to people.

This charity supports people with an acquired brain injury, autism, and learning or physical disabilities to help them live as independently as possible.

This is a purpose-built centre that provides accommodation and support to 14 adults who have autism and learning disabilities. Supporting people in a person-centered way ensuring that they are at the heart of everything that we do.

Your main responsibilities will include:
o Always promoting choice, rights and inclusion of those we support , thereby
enabling them to meet goals and outcomes.

o Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders in order to compliment and contribute to the positive reputation of the company.

o Providing line management to a designated team of staff within a specified group at a location or group of locations within the allocated division.

o Ensuring high standards of care and professional conduct within the team supervised.

o Leading and supporting with The Disabilities Trust quality audits and in health and safety duties.

o Contributing to effective liaison with stakeholders and external agencies with local authorities, families, advocates, GPs, local safeguarding teams, other DT departments and professionals within the realms of Health and Social Care that have an impact on service provision in consultation with senior colleagues.

o Assisting with planning of staff rotas to include annual leave, training and an appropriate skills mix, ensuring that the staff rota compliments service user needs and individual programmes and meets contractual obligations to commissioners.

o Ensuring the Administration of Medication is effectively managed, audited, ordered and stored in line with individual service user requirement and The Disabilities Trust Policy and Procedures.
