Team Leader
Location: Swindon, UK
Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 depending on qualifications and experience
Benefits: Company Pension Scheme, Study Support, Bonus
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Purpose of the Role:
To ensure the well-being of young people in our care and provide a positive and safe living environment. To manage and lead Residential Support Workers in delivering high-quality childcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the home, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Manage and mentor Senior Residential Support Workers, providing supervision and training.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Support young people in developing their care plans and achieving positive outcomes.
- Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders to provide comprehensive support.
- Promote anti-discriminatory and equal opportunity practices.
Essential Skills:
- Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent
- Knowledge of childcare legislation and regulations
- Experience working with young people with challenging behaviour
- Strong communication, organisational, and administrative skills
- Ability to relate to young people with empathy and compassion
- Leadership and management skills
