My client is a well established Fin-Tech company based on the outskirts of Greater London/Surrey area.
Due to growth they are seeking an experience Technical Business Analyst to join their team.
o To design, implement and document Company message specifications, business rules, form field mappings according to agreed business logic using 3rd party tools (no major coding but technical skills needed)
o To work with Product Managers / Owners to create detailed requirements for implementation by Agile software delivery teams
o To contribute to the creation and upkeep of the Product Requirements Backlog
o To assist the Product Managers make decisions during the delivery process including contributing to planning and refinement sessions
o To create, own and run the Backlog for specific Company product delivery projects and feature introduction, support by the Company Product Owner / Manager as required
o To interpret client needs, assess the full requirements, and identify solutions or required modifications to existing product design.
o To Support the product roadmap and plans, working with development to control the product delivery work capacity.
o To support delivery excellence for the products to maximise and optimise contributions over the product life cycle.
o Assessment of market requirements functional into backlog items including working Product managers and Owners on feature enhancements
o To lead on requirements capture through delivering mainstream operational products.
o As required, support, contribute to and influence standards committees, Industry Forums and User Groups
o Support the development of marketing messages that differentiates our products in the market
o Work closely with the respective Product Owners and Business Analysts to help evolve and create new products across the entire suite
o Being part of Agile Development project teams, working on one or more projects in parallel
o To demonstrate competence in own area; may still be acquiring higher level skill; typically works with minimal guidance on own area of knowledge.
o To provide design assurance / QA at the service level to ensure developments are undertaken in alignment with the requirements / specifications.
Skills and Experience
" Previous experience working for a software product SaaS company or software house developing B2B or B2C transactional web-based applications
" Knowledge of software development tools:
o Altova Mapforce (Desirable not essential)
o Altova Stylevision (Desirable not essential)
" Knowledge and experience of using/creating:
o XSDs, DTDs
" Experience working with Agile development methodologies such as Kanban/Agile (E) and tools such as Jira and Confluence
Basic knowledge of writing basic database SQL queries(Desirable)
" Excellent communicator, both written and verbal. Ability to articulate requirements and issues clearly and concisely with both on-shore and off-shore Development Teams
" Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen effectively and the ability to present oneself in a calm, professional manner
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Team player. Comfortable working in a small company environment and "hands-on" in the sense of doing what needs to be done in a small organisation
- Fluent English (E), any other languages a bonus but not essential to role
- Experience of working on SWIFT (MT messages) messages would be an advantage.
- Domain Expertise in FinTech ideal
