Are you a hands on/practical individual who has a real passion for building, tinkering and fixing things?

If so my client based in Garston, near Watford, is seeking a Technician to join their team due to promotion within.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to build a career within engineering. Ideally you will have achieved a level 2 or 3 in engineering or by evidencing that you have the passion and drive to want to work in a laboratory. Full training will be given learning health and safety guidelines.

You will be proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook and the ability to use search engines effectively and have excellent customer relationship skills as well as being self-motivated and highly organised.

The successful applicant will instrument and prepare test samples, undertake the fire testing of building products, work to Standards, Directives and UKAS accreditation procedures, record results, maintain calibration and quality records.

The salary is £20k-£24k and the hours are 8.45am-5.15pm, Monday-Friday. 25 days holiday, of which 3 are used for Christmas, company pension/health insurance and on-site parking.
