Temporary Hotel Nights Manager
Brook Street Edinburgh is currently recruiting for a Hotel Nights Manager to work in a luxury hotel in heart of Edinburgh City Centre.
Position - Hotel Nights Manager - Manager on Duty (MOD)
Position Type - Temporary - (Ongoing)
Pay - £10.00 to £12.00 per hour
House - Full time (Monday to Friday Nights)
Night Manager Profile
- As a Nights Manager you will be represent the management during the night in the hotel.
- You will be working with the Front office Manager in all areas of the department.
- You will be dealing with aspects off operations, planning of the hotel.
- Dealing with staffing labour costs on shift in accordance with the hotel polices and procedures.
- You must be able to provide strong leadership skills and supporting all members of the Front Office, implementing all Hotel standards of Excellence.
Night Manager duties and responsibilities
- Assist the front office Manager by over seeing the entire Front office area of operation
- Working with the Front office Manager to study the levels of guest Satisfaction and monitor trends, with continuous improvements developed.
- Ensure all guests are recognised and that the Front Office team operates in up-selling promotes the hotel brand's loyalty scheme.
- Maximise room occupancy at best rates and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities
- Understand and showing the correct procedures regarding the acceptance of all foreign currencies, credit cards and cash in accordance with the hotel policy.
- Represent the senior managers in their absence, taking full responsibility of the hotel Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of the Front Office Team.
- Ensuring members of staff have current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing and policies, and knowledge of the local area.
- Able to work with staff and continuously trained to learn and understand policies and practices
- Maintain good communication and working relationships with all hotel departments
- Compile adequate handover to Early staff / Duty Manager
- Conduct Health and Safety Checks and Night Walks
What should you have
- Previous experience working as a Night or Day Manager or similar position for 4-5* hotels.
- Passion to meet and exceed guest's expectations at all the time.
- To be discreet, proactive, versatile and highly attentive to guests needs & wishes.
- Experience of using Opera PMS.
- Good level of English.
