Job Description

Our client a well established company based in Cardiff centre is looking for a Tendering Engineer. This is a full time permanent role offering 37.5 hour a week with an early finish on Fridays, onsite parking.

Summary of role:

Produce project costs and proposal drawings across the company`s portfolio of commercial and residential schemes to support the sales function. Throughout the project lifecycle the Multi Utility Project Technician will ensure that any costing mechanisms and drawings technically and commercially meet standards and are delivered within agreed timescales. They will work closely with the sales team to ensure that costings are competitive and that technical details or standards are detailed for the end client.

Key Responsibilities and Accountability's

o Produce full and budget quotations for the company`s portfolio of multi utility projects in line with commercial procedures and client requirements.
o Produce compliant designs in accordance with customer and UIP requirements/constraints
o Undertake MU demand calculations and design networks; undertake variations of networks as appropriate.
o Understand and apply (I)DNO G81 and IGEM-G-5-Ed.2 design standards
o Understand and apply ENA ER standards where applicable
o Produce job specific cost estimates for both proposals and contract changes
o Preparation of network records
o Applying for POC`s/CSEP/Water Designs
o Implement and develop processes to internally communicate any technical and maintenance requirements for accepted projects
o Apply estimated loads to a draft layout and create a draft design according to basic design rules (where applicable)
o Respond to customer enquiries and support the Sales and Commercial managers and/or directors where required
o Liaise with other departments to progress approved networks in the design process
o Undertake all activities within agreed standards of service and in compliance with company technical guidelines
