Brook Street UK Ltd are delighted be recruiting for a Theatre Technician on behalf our Public Sector client

To be considered for this role, you must have 5 GCSEs (to include English and Maths) at Grades A-C or equivalent
Consideration may be given to candidates who do not have the above qualifications but have 3 years proven technical experience in a theatre or production company. Has a minimum of 2 years proven technical experience in a theatre or production company
Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation particularly in relation to technical theatre
Experience of stage, audio, lighting or audio visual projection

Theatre technicians are responsible for ensuring that the lighting, sound and other technical aspects of theatre performances run safely, smoothly and on time

You will be responsible for Assisting the Technical Manager in the development, management and operation of the Technical Department and delivering the technical requirements connected to performances and events across all arts and culture facilities and event spaces.

Our client has advised us that the role will be temporary up to 3 months and is full time hours. The applicant will be required to work between two shifts: Early shift 10:00 - 18:00 Late shift 14:00 - 22:00
There is a need to be flexible as sometimes the shift may start sooner, often the shifts will end later
As the post involves significant physical and manual handling elements, the post holder must be of a satisfactory level of fitness
Full current driving licence required
Must be available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as scheduled on the rota provided in advance.

In return, you will be paid an hourly rate of £11.19 p/h
